So you want to make your money online now huh? Great. There are plenty of ways to do it. AutoSurfs, MLMs, form-filling/surveys, Affiliate Marketing, HYIP’s and the good old fashioned way: Your own product on your own website.

I’ll explore each of these ways in the course of this series. So if they sound like gobledy gook to you now, fear not. Its estimated that every day over 250,000 people make the decision to start earning money at home on the Internet. That’s a lot of people who don’t have a clue what these terms mean either. Everyone’s got to start somewhere.

For most people, a reasonable course of action when choosing an online business, is to bring up their favourite search engine (if they’ve even got one yet) and type the words “work from home”. The number of sites that come up when you enter such a term on Google alone is 1.9 Billion. Compare this with “find a job” (425 million) or “new career” (458 million) and you get an idea of where Internet Marketers are directing their efforts.

OK. So the good news is, if there’s plenty of supply you’ve got plenty of choice. But how do you go about choosing the one thats best for you? How do you know which one of those 1.9 billion work from home ideas gives you the best chance of success? Lets face it, you could live until you’re five hundred and you still wouldn’t have read them all.

And perhaps you’ve got your own idea, perhaps you’ve used The Internet enough to have identified a niche area, a business idea you want to exploit. Either way, you’re entering new waters and its best to be prepared. Even if you’re convinced by your own idea, it is still adviseable to watch, and even join, one or two of the work-from-home offerings so you can learn about the ways in which business can and can’t be done online.

There is a methodology I teach which helps people decide on which way to turn, if indeed they should turn to any of them. It uses a simple set of questions, no more than 5 in each set, and as long as you are honest to your core, your answers will steer you in the right direction.

The first set is 4 quick questions that you should answer without giving too much thought to. Just read them each and give the first answer that comes into your head - give your instinctive answer.

It is important to be instinctive because once you’ve embarked on your online career, it will be your instinct that will direct you. Don’t take time theorising about what you think the right or wrong answer should be, just give the true answer. That’s the only way you’ll get a useful result.

These four questions should be answered in order with a score between 1 (minimum) and 5 (maximum). No zeros. Write your answers down and keep them safe.

Here they are:

1. How computer literate am I? (Not at all - 1. Exceedingly – 5) 2. How is my self-discipline? (Terrible - 1. Excellent – 5) 3. How positive is my outlook on life? (Miserable - 1. Excellent – 5) 4. How much can I afford to fail? (I can’t - 1. It really doesn’t matter – 5)

Many people are so obsessed with getting more traffic to their site, that they can easily forget to make the most of their existing traffic.

There are three key ways to make the most of the traffic that you’re already getting and many people have made simple changes only to find their Adsense income has increased, literally overnight.

Three ways to make more money from your Adsense sites:-

Increase Your CTR

Placement of your site has a massive effect on your click through rate (or CTR). If your CTR is anything under 10% you can probably improve on it. Prominent positioning in popular positions doesn’t necessarily distract from your content.

If you’re serious about making money from your site and have more than 10000 page views a month, it’s probably worth investing in Joel Comm’s Adsense book which will advise you on the best placements, colours and settings for your ads.

Improve Your eCPM

Even with static traffic, it’s possible to increase your income.

Setting up URL channels on Google Adsense can help you to monitor the CTR and eCPM for individual pages. This can highlight some obvious inequalities between similar pages - and you can look closely at the keywords - particularly those surrounding your Adsense html to find out why.

You can use the Adwords Keywords tool to find out which keywords are paying highly and add one of these words, where appropriate, to the top of your pages. Also, make sure that your pages are themed, so you included theme words. For example, theme words for baby might

Spending time reviewing your site statistics, making changes where appropriate, can help to increase the traffic and income from any existing site. So, don’t forget to keep an eye on your older sites, whilst developing the new ones!

Wealth creation is possibly the most important word in an investor’s vocabulary. Imagine if you invested for the sake of fun, not caring which way the investment went. Probably a nice scenario to be in, but maybe not so realistic. The bottom line is this: We want to profit from our investments. Sure we want it to be fun. The fun comes with the involvement of the wealth creation investor.

As you get better and more knowledgeable about the topic, the more enjoyment you will find in this area of wealth creation. Needless to say that as the profits start rolling in, the more you will enjoy your involvement with investing.

My personal journey so far has been short and fast in this area if investing. It has been a big learning curve in the world of wealth creation. Some investors I have met in the last 16 months are multi millionaires in their own right. Self made in their twenties, using common sense wealth creation concepts that we should all know. Most of us do already know them, but lack the courage to back ourselves. Maybe some simply write themselves off as “not capable” or not being in the wealth creation category, lacking the confidence of the experienced stock market investor or the savvy property investor who confidently searches real estate markets for new bargains effortlessly.

They back themselves with confidence. They know what is possible if they put in the effort and believe in themselves. Maybe we small investors should back ourselves more in this world. To base decisions on your own experiences rather than holding back based on news stories, bad reviews and biased opinions based on little or no experience.

I took the leap of faith and jumped into the wealth creation arena with a semi confident leap around 16 months ago. With the help from a gentleman by the name of Jamie McIntyre from 21st Century Academy, I was able to learn how to make money from renting shares on the share market, locate positive cashflow properties of the plan and fast track my path towards financial independence while doing most of my work from home.

Earning 2% return per month for my investments would at first be an attractive idea in mine and most people’s wealth creation plan. When the knowledge then increased through lots of study and a real concerted effort to break away from the everyday norm, I then realized (and proved) that 15 - 20% per month was and is very achievable. Last month I managed a 32% monthly return for one 5 figure investment.
